Windows Modules Installer Worker|HDD%問題 | パソコンサポート事例|パソコン119 - To install Driver Easy
Ask a new question. The Windows Modules Installer Worker is a background application that checks for new updates from the Windows server and install them in your computer. It's task takes high usage of CPU that causes load on the system especially when Windows Update is running.
You may check the resolution provided by TnTzzz on this thread. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I had tried changing the modules installer to manual. No update was running as far as I could tell. So after 3 more hrs I killed that process.
I figured the worst was a reboot by the OS. Now the process is running again occasionally but not taking any CPU. Does you Windows Updates page look normal or are you seeing repeated attempts to install some updates? If you watch the resource monitor, you might be able to tell what the modules installer is doing.
First, the wait is at " Windows is getting your system ready" so I can not see anything of what is happening. Only after an hour do I get to login. There do not appear to be any updates - but how would I know?
There is much space on the hard drive gigs It almost sounds like the system is resetting. There should be some message in the Event Viewer. I do not see any issues with the updates to windows etc. I have looked at the event viewer. I don't see anything specific to rebooting or at the clock time when the rebooting was last done. Current state is installed. Target state is installed. Client id: UpdateAgentLCU. followed by same but with package KB update not done.
downloaded KBxxx then messages. Looking for updates for this computer windows update stadalone installer the update is not applicable to your computer. The error shown means the below. I will see if I can find anything regarding it. There is a service RpcLocator and RpcSs which would seem to be involved.
Not sure why yet but possibly a problem reaching a site is not working but I need to do some research. The fact it shows not applicable to your computer is a little strange.. Are you in the Insider program or have you been in that program? Possibly it needs an earlier update? If you want to explore your system, go to the Windows folder and look for the WindowsUpdate.
Open that and you will be given info on creating a readable log you could check. The log will be very long but if you want to copy the last few days of entries and paste into a text file you could put that on your OneDrive and give us a link.
Make sure and scan the listing to see if anything personal may be included. It will contain info about your system. tried going to ms-support catalog of updates downloaded kb then got two message boxes.
I have the windowsupdate. log from powershell. I could paste in here If your system is trying to install and update over and over, the file is probably very large and it does explain why the modules installer is constantly running. I have no way to get such a file. You probably also have a very large CBS. log which another user was complaining about its size or number of archived logs. Since I do not see any of the updates you reference, could you go to the Settings-System-About and look under Windows specifications and let us know the OS Build version.
Is it If you do not have that number listed, open an admin command prompt or PowerShell and type winver to get that number. A small window should open showing the number. So why does a reboot take more than 1 hour??? In reply to GregoryWWDiehl's post on February 9, If a reboot takes an hour, you may have some type of configuration problem. Do you have a fair amount of free space on your drive? Any messages in Event Viewer which might be relevant? In reply to Saltgrass's post on February 9, thanks for responding: First, the wait is at " Windows is getting your system ready" so I can not see anything of what is happening.
other ideas? In reply to GregoryWWDiehl's post on February 10, You can go to the updates settings and view installed updates and manually check for updates. If there are some saying failed, there may be multiple listings for it. The URL may be misspelled or the page you're looking for is no longer available. In reply to Saltgrass's post on February 10, looking at the update settings window followed by same but with package KB after hitting retry on windows page message says : update not done.
